I thought it was going to be reasonably clear but after I got set up, there was a lot of scudding cloud.
Just got a couple of 5 minute subs of this globular cluster.
I gave up about midnight.
I just wonder if I would have got more done if I had brought out my Nexstar 8SE for an observing session instead. I guess I could have waited to see if the cloud cleared but Im now in a situation where it could take 1 – 1.5 hours to do an imaging run of 1 object then take darks after that. Getting up to go to work next morning aint so compatible with that.
Perhaps I should do visual observing during the week then astrophotography at the weekend! Not that our weather gives me a wide range of options!

Looking carefully through the full size image, I can spot spiral galaxies:
480/80mm f6 refractor.1.0 x field flattener. Ioptron ZEQ25GT mount. Autoguided with Orion SSAG/PHD. Canon 60Da @ 800ISO. Post-processed in PixInsight 1.8 and Photoshop CS3.
