Cassiopeia – top right
Perseus – top centre with prominent Melotte 20 open cluster.
The famous double cluster is just visible half way between Perseus and Cassiopeia.
Kp index was hovering between 4 and 5 tonight so thought I would go to Ballykelly to see if I could pick up any aurora. I also wanted to try this location out as a possible Lyrid meteor shower location for next week.
Thought there would be less light pollution but overall not a bad site. Although the Kp was reasonable the IMF was Northerly so didnt see a lot more than in this image.
This is taken from Ballykelly looking North across the Foyle estuary towards Donegal.
